Please read our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy carefully. This section is to inform you of how Positive Teacher Therapy operates. By visiting our website and/ or purchasing something from us, you engage in our “Service” and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
- PAYMENT – 1-2-1 Therapy Treatment: You’re welcome to pay by cash, cheque or bank transfer when paying for one to one therapy treatment. These services a prepaid. If you are paying in instalments for packages, then the first instalment should be paid to confirm your booking. If you would like to pay by bank transfer, then this should be done two days before your first appointment. PAYMENT - Online services: Pay using the payment method provided.
- 1-2-1 CONSULTATION - This is free session, which take place before any ‘one to one therapy’ work with us can begin. This session last for up to 30 minutes and can be face to face or via Zoom. This is a discussion where we explore how we can help you.
- CANCELLATION - Cancellations for one to one therapy treatments need to be made 48 hours prior to your one to one session otherwise you will be charged the full price.
- REFUNDS - Positive Teacher Therapy do not offer refunds.
- PUNCTUALITY – For one to one therapy treatment: If you are late for an appointment, you lose that time. If you do not show, you will still be charged in full.
- CONFIDENTIALY - Everything discussed in the therapy treatment sessions are confidential. I only discuss my clients with my Supervisor who is bound by the same confidentiality. Personal details like your name or where you live are not exchanged with my Supervisor. Supervision is there to ensure that I am working in the best way that I can with my clients. Being in Supervision is part of my Professional Body’s Code of Ethics.
- THERAPY TREAMENT – During the 1-2-1 CONSULTATION your personal details and history will be recorded. This is to give me an overall picture of what you are dealing with and is kept locked away. I keep the notes for a period of 6 years from your last appointment for insurance purposes and to ensure that if, for any reason, I need to access the information, that it’s still available for a reasonable amount of time. There will be no recordings of your treatment. Emails are printed and kept locked away with your notes if appropriate otherwise they are deleted. My computer is password protected and specific client details are not stored on my computer; all notes are handwritten.
- YOUR COMMITMENT – Whether you are accessing the one to one or group product or services or our online product or services, you are committing to work with us and investing your time and money in our work. If you have been given any tools or intervention ideas to try, then it’s entirely up to you whether you choose to try them or not but if you do not get the intended results by not trying these tools and interventions without engaging in them, then you may find that you don’t feel the benefit. If you try and they do not work or you are unable to try for any reason, then that is very different and we will look at alternatives. Therapy and our services and products are not about Positive Teacher Therapy ‘fixing’ anyone, it is about supporting you in finding your own way through and engaging with our work.
- CODE OF ETHICS POLICY - If I see you out and about, I will ignore you. This is part of the terms and conditions that protects your confidentially. This is mainly in relation to therapy work, but at times it may be necessary for some of our other work. This is not me being rude, it simply protects your confidentiality as the person that you are with may not know that you are working with me and it avoids any difficult conversations. If, however, you speak to me, I am more than happy say hello!
